The region of Trav Khar has been inhabited since at least early 2004. The original Trav Khar was a region of great economic and political activity. At the beginning of the earliest recorded history of Trav Khar, the region had a province called Japanada. Tis colony was sparsely populated and served as a military training ground. The delegation of Japanada also provided permanent position for favored members of the old aristocracy under Nibu. The original founder of Trav Khar was an exiled Solarian military officer named Nibu who, along with his fellow expatriate, Coriolanus, attempted to create a monarchy with a weak constitution to guide the actions of the various public ministers. Shortly thereafter a few ministers became interested in establishing a republic. After nearly two months of attempted negotiation with Nibu and Coriolanus, the Head Delegate, Nikovakia, and the Speaker of the Senate, Alenteria, formed a bloc consisting of politicians, including Delacroivia who would later be a Head Delegate, and military participants, such as Mental Folks and Coruna, who would prove invaluable in the coming days. This bloc presented nibu with an ultimatum: accept a new constitution written by revolutionary bloc collaborators or face civil disobedience and distruption of public services. Nikovakia and Alenteria tried for days to gain Nibu's assent to the constitution in various government meetings. These efforts were supported by Delacroivia's advocacy as vice-delegate to raise popular support for the bloc and it's constitution and Mental Folks and Coruna's efforts to bring the military into the bloc.
Nibu did not want to relinquish much of his power and after it became clear that he had no intention to meet the bloc's demands, a dramtic shift in Trav Khar ensued. First, a newspaper was established that refused to accept compulsory government censorship. After Nibu was called a dictator by the newspaper's editor, Speaker of the Senate Alenteria, the newspaper was locked down and Alenteria was charged with libel and treason. Because Nibu served as High Judge of the region at that time, Coriolanus was appointed as prosecutor. The trial would prove to be a test of the bloc's power and would cement the revolutionary comraderie that has existed through the four republics.
With little hope of a fair trial, Alenteria appealed to his allies in the bloc. His pleas were heard and Nikovakia agreed to head the counsel for the defense, officially pitting himself against Nibu's government. First Nikovakia objected to Nibu sitting as judge of the tribunal as well as the secret nature of court cases. While Nibu eventually dismissed the case without addressing the charges themselves, a rift between the civil government and the founder had formed and was now irreparable.
Shortly after the end of the trial, the bloc circulated a referendum to force the proposed constitution to be accepted by Nibu and his now few supporters. In retaliation, on the evening of 1 May 2004, Nibu began a purge of Trav Khar, ejecting both friend and foe in an attempt to scare and silence his opposition. The tactic may have been successful had it not been for Nibu's failure to distinguish between Alenteria and another nation of a similar name. Alenteria was able to post the facts about the purge on the NS homepage and alert a moderator of the situation. Whether the moderator got involved or not is unknown, but shortly after 1 a on 2 May 2004, Nibu announced that he was fleeing the region and sent the regional passwords to Nikovakia. By 2 am, most of the ejected regions had been restored, although many were lost. The bloc quickly formed an interim government, reorganized a makeshift militia and turned its attention to Japanada. Becuase of Japanada's provincial status, Nibu had little direct control over it and Coriolanus, the Japanada delegate, had not been attentive to the events of the evening. With the password in hand, the revolutionary militia was able to infiltrate Japanada and remove Coriolanus from the delegate position before he was aware of the change in government on the mainland. He left without word or ceremony shortly after, most likely to avoid charges of treason and crimes against Trav Khar. While there is little known about the subsequent activities of Nibu and Coriolanus, it is believed that they faded out for a while but were restored during the later days of the First Republic and neccesitated the reorganization that became the Second Republic. Many Travkharians loyal to Nibu either left the region or became inactive, even though a general amnesty was ordered for all citizens.
Of the revolutionaries involved in the 2 May Revolution, none remains in Trav Khar under their original name. However, Mental Folks does still exist in another region under his original name. The current founder of Trav Khar, Alenterian States, is the succesor state to Alenteria and Tiktakistan is the successor state of Coruna, as evidenced by the name of the currency used in that country. 2 May has been a recognized holiday in Trav Khar since that time. While early on the revolution was celebrated every month on the 2nd day, this practice has been abandoned. 2 May has seen some form of recognition in Trav Khar every year.
